KPV is the lysine-proline-valine tripeptide, a C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It is a research compound, not a registered medicine.
Preclinical work describes anti-inflammatory signalling effects, including modulation of NF-kB-related pathways in cell and animal models.
Controlled human evidence is not available. Claims relating to inflammatory or gastrointestinal conditions are not supported for clinical use.
Safety information for this compound is incomplete outside of controlled settings. Reported considerations in the literature include injection-site reactions, unknown long-term effects, product-quality and sterility risks with unregistered preparations, and unpredictable interactions with existing medicines or conditions.
