Published work describes effects on AMPK-related metabolic signalling and mitochondrial function in cell and rodent models. These observations have not been shown to translate into clinical outcomes in people.
Human evidence
Controlled human trials are absent. Claims relating to fat loss, endurance, performance or longevity in people are not supported by adequate human evidence.

Registration comes before supply
In South Africa, a product intended to treat, prevent or otherwise affect the functioning of the body is a medicine and must be registered with SAHPRA before it may lawfully be sold. An unregistered compound cannot be advertised or supplied to the public, regardless of the evidence behind it.
