Peptides are sensitive to heat, light, freeze-thaw cycling and mechanical stress. A product that has experienced an uncontrolled temperature excursion may look completely normal while having degraded, aggregated or lost potency.
This is why regulated supply chains treat temperature history as data: validated packaging, continuous monitoring, documented handover points and defined excursion procedures. Where that documentation does not exist, quality claims cannot be verified at all.
It is one of several reasons regulators warn against products obtained outside licensed channels. Identity, purity, sterility and temperature history are all unverifiable in an informal supply chain.
